A weekend of cakes!

I don't know if I've mentioned it on here yet, but I'm starting up a cake decorating business! It's officially called "Cakes by Candace"! My oldest brother Dustin's making me business cards that should be here any day, so stinking excited. The cakes are already starting to snowball! This is really so exciting for me, finally finding something I am good at. Thank goodness! I really enjoy doing this and look for every opportunity to make a cake! =)

Mari's 1st birthday cake (Tiffany Bello's daughter)
I love the colors she picked - turned out cute.
Mari's mini cake for her to dig into!
Matching cupcakes - there were orange ones too that were cuter, missed  a picture somehow!
Wilton class cake #2, the clown cake! This was so super fun to make!
Gave it to some friends of ours that are moving.
For Mason's 1st birthday cake. (Amanda Hamm's son.) Did a piping gel transfer for the first time...pretty awesome!!
Transfered onto the cake...
Finished product...I like it!

Funny bananas...=)
Mason's mini cake...a monkey - although I think it looks like a bear...or a woodchuck...

Hi! I was just blog hopping and found your blog, and your cakes are beautiful! I took all of the Wilton cake decorating classes too (1-3) and loved them. I'm curious though, your cakes are perfectly iced with the white buttercream, how are you doing that... do you have a special cake recipe that you use or are you freezing them before hand? Whenever I do it I can't help but get a little bit of crumb in mine. Good luck with your business!

YAY! So happy for you. I wish you lived here, then we could hire you to do the cake for our symposium this year.
