First Day To Church

Today we finally braved it and went to church! Kristie wore her first dress and looked absolutely adorable so we just had to take pictures. She did marvelous the whole 3 hour block! Everyone in our ward was super excited to see Kristie for the first time. I think the most exciting thing was using the mother's lounge for the first time. =) The one here is gigantic! It has twelve comfy chairs that rock. Twelve! I just remember the teeny tiny mother's lounge back home in the Harbour Pointe building that has two chairs and is just sooo small compared to this. Pretty funny. Here's some pictures of our momentous day!

Big yawn!

First time wearing a dress!! This one is from Devin & Leslie.

It was very hot & sunny when we were taking this picture. haha.

Oh we just love her to death.

3 Weeks Old

Kristie is 3 weeks old as of yesterday!! She had her 2nd check up and is just perfect and healthy still. She now weighs 9.3 lbs and is in the 71 percentile! It really feels good knowing that she's growing just right. It's just been such a blessing - she hasn't been sick at all and we haven't had any problems. And she was really good for the doctor during the appointment. Go Kristie!!

Jewelry Night & A Floor Gym!

Last night Kristie and I got together with Betsy and Tayla (good friends from work) to make baby bracelets! I've always wanted to get them for her - I saw them at a store, and these teeny tiny things cost $6 each! I thought that was crazy, so we got together and made some ourselves. Kristie is one stylish chica with these on! She looks so grown up to me when she wears them. =)

Our finished product! Who needs the store bought ones?!

Here she is wearing one of them, not pictured above.

And day before yesterday, we recieved a fun present in the mail from Uncle Mike & Uncle Geoff! An awesome floor gym! This is the nicest one I've seen yet - it has buttons that play music, a mirror, a squeaky toy in the mat, crinkle sounds, rattles in all the hanging toys and lights that light up when the music plays! Kristie's not quite into it yet...we put her in it and she got overwhelmed and started crying after a little bit. =) Such a fun gift though!

And here's another video, just for kicks. (I took it vertically and can't get it to rotate, so you'll have to tilt your head!)

Father's Day

Yesterday was Jason's first Father's Day as an official dad! I can't put to words how grateful I am to be married to him and that he is the father of our little girl and the future ones to come. He is absolutely wonderful.

We made him a card and got him National Treasure 2. ( Kristie just woke up.)

Oh man they are so cute.

Wide awake

Sound asleep

Healthy & Happy

Kristie is doing so well! She had her first pediatric check up on Thursday - the doctor said she's healthy and perfect and to just keep doing what we're doing. She's almost 8 pounds!

She is so darn cute when she sleeps.

Snug as a bug.

Giraffe bum!

For Grandma's last day with us (on Thursday), Kristie wore her "I love Grandma" outfit...so cute!

Kristie Kay Duce

This has taken forever to post, sorry!!

Kristie Kay Duce was born Thursday, June 5th at 2:56 pm. She was 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long. Labor was about 12 hours long and pretty smooth!! (Thank you epidural!) We had a scare for hours and hours when I wasn't dilating past a 5, but suddenly gears kicked in...I dilated the rest of the way super fast and only pushed for about 40 minutes. It was an amazing experience. We were able to go home from the hospital the next day, which was great. The whole weekend was filled with lots of family and friends visiting, and Janelle (Jason's mom) is still here helping out until tomorrow. She has been such a wonderful help! Kristie has been absolutely amazing. She is one of those super calm & content babies. We just love her to death...it's hard to explain all the emotions and feelings you have toward this little girl. We would do anything for her and can't imagine how we lived without her before.

First bath at home!

So fresh and so clean...

She was so alert, awake & happy after her bath! Usually she's quite the napper during the day, so we were sooo excited just to have her eyes open for so long. Haha.
Love being a mommy!
