Steamboat Rock w/the Duces

We did it! Kristie camped with us at Steamboat Rock for a whole week and did wonderful! We're so happy with how she did. She even slept better than she normally does! We had such a good time with Jason's family. Boating, playing on the beach, wakeboarding, rock jumping and just plain relaxing. And this was Jason's sibling's first time meeting Kristie, so that was also fun! We already miss being on vacation...

Some Cute Pics

Finally lifting her head up! She only does it for a minute or two, then gets lazy and just sucks her fist.

She likes her Bumbo!! She leans to the left so we stuck her lovey in there to hold her up.

This is Kristie sleeping in our bed this morning with Jason while I was getting ready for church. Aww! It takes a lot more effort to get her to go back to sleep after her 6am feeding...so sometimes she'll just sleep with us for an hour or two. =)

Smile girl.

Berry Cute

Too, too cute. She also has the peach shirt that says "I'm peachy." Aw. It's too big for her right now, so I can't wait 'til it fits. Go Old Navy!

Family Events

DEVIN & LESLIE ARE MARRIED! I realized I never wrote about it, and it's definitely important. It's a long story, but they had a small wedding in Georgia (where Leslie is from and they now live) in June. Dad, Ada, Dustin & Camilla were able to make it. Then, Leslie was baptised right after! We are all so happy for her. They are going to have a big wedding and be sealed in the Temple next year. Congratulations you two!!!

"Diagnosis: Well Baby"

Kristie is two months old today!! Holy cow. Her appointment went really well. She is 13 pounds and 22 3/4 inches long. Holy cow again. She is absolutely perfect in every way. The doctor told us that the diagnosis is that she is a well baby. It was so cute to see her interact with the doctor. Right when he started to check her, she grabbed his stethescope and wouldn't let go! And she was babbling back to him when he was talking to her. It was absolutely adorable. I kept thinking..."Aw, that's my daughter." The hardest part of the appointment was the immunizations. Ahhh! She first had an oral one, which must've tasted disgusting. But she muscled it down. Then she had three shots, all at once. Oh my heavens - I've never seen her cry like that. And I don't blame her. I can hardly stand one shot alone. I cried after the nurses left the room. If Jason wasn't there I probably would've sat there for another half an hour crying with her. It was SO hard to watch that. In the picture below you can see the bandaids on her legs. Two on one, one on the other. Awwww my poor Kristie cakes.

Tooele Demo Derby

Saturday night while we were in Utah, we all went to a demolition derby in Tooele. Can you believe Kristie's been to two demoltion derbies since she's been born? Oh my. =)

Utah Weekend

Last weekend we headed to Utah for Grandma Frank's funeral. All went well and everything was beautiful. I think the most touching part of the service was Grandpa's medley of hymns on his harmonica. The way he played was absolutely sweet and heartfelt. And the songs he picked...just brought me to tears. I think the last song he played was "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again." I can't even describe the way his face looked as he was looking at all of us while he played. Almost as if he was saying to us "Everything's going to be ok." And it made me cry also realizing that this was probably the first time he was playing without his sweet Ruth by his side. Darrin's number on the violin was also wonderful. He played "Ave Maria." I missed his violin playing so much while he was on his mission. Overall, it was nice to see all the family and see Grandma one last time. Kristie did an amazing job on her first trip as well. It reassured me that she'll probably do fine when we going on the camping trip with J's family next week. She actually slept better than she's ever slept, which was a pleasant surprise!

My Aunt Genet (Mom's sister) meeting Kristie for the first time! It was so great to see her! (Kristie was pretty uncomfortable...it was super hot outside.)

The Ultimate Wrap

I've been borrowing this wrap from Amy Hall and it is faaabulous!! We finally got a picture with me using it last week when we went mini golfing in Rigby. This is what I use when we see movies, go to Restaurants, sometimes on walks, around the house when I do chores , and pretty much anywhere I want to have my hands free. It's wonderful! Thanks Amy!!
