Wow, what a party! I still can't believe Kristie is a year old! We had at least 20 people show up in our apartment, so it was busy! Needless to say, Kristie was overwhelmed so she was a little on the edge the whole time. I was kinda bummed that she wasn’t her giggly, smiley self for her first birthday party, but what can ya do? We had chips & dip w/ punch together, then opened presents. Kristie sure got spoiled. Then it was cake time! She needed help blowing out the candle, and wasn’t a huge fan of the cake! Bummer…I was really expecting her to pile it all in her mouth ‘cause she’s never had sugary stuff before. Life goes on…it was all still fun! We’re just so grateful for wonderful friends and family!! And NOW it feels official, that she’s ONE since we had the party. =)
Enjoy!!

Where did you learn how to make that cake??
I have a dome shaped cake pan and just went off of a picture I found online. =) Also, check out http://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com/...that's where I got ideas and meshed them together to make the cake I did. For most the cakes on there, they have step by step instructions and lots of pictures!
Cute cake! I love it!
What a great, fun, family birthday party! Love the theme!
