What a wonderful first Mother's day!! I can't put to words how much I love being Kristie's mama and taking care of her. She means the world to me!
I have to say, this Mother's day was much different than the past 11 years. No matter how long it's been, I've always had a hard time on Mother's day, thinking about how mom is gone...what it would be like if she were still here. I was an awkward 7th grader when she passed away - so many things have changed since then. But this year, I could focus on being a mother myself, and how much I love my little girl. I can only hope I'll be as good a mom as mine was.
We got to be with both of Kristie's grandmas. Stopped by to see Abue and give her her present after church. Then it was off to Grandma Duce's house for dinner & dessert. Such a lovely day!
Jason made me breakfast after I opened my present - the DVD Twilight!! (I'm a Twilight freak, so what.)
Banana & Nutella crepes topped with raspberries, blueberries, strawberries & whipped cream! WOAH! One word...amazing.
Kristie & Abue
We made Kristie's footprints with plaster! Turned out pretty darn cute.
Kristie & Grandma Duce
She grabbed her paci while it was still hooked onto her carseat! Haha.
Auntie Katie dropped off this outfit today! It says "I love Mom" on it!!
She is the most precious little person on the planet.

Congratulations on your first Mother's Day. I'm glad you have a happy way to celebrate now. I've never seen a picture of your mom before...she really is beautiful. Just like you and Kristie. Actually, your whole Duce/Frank clan is beautiful, and makes me wish for blonde hair :)
Happy Late Mother's Day Candace. You look a lot like your mom. She must have made a huge difference in your life. You look so happy and your little girl is GORGEOUS! She looks a lot like you I think.
You are such a good mom! You look great by the way! Hope things are going well for you!
