I did it - I pulled off planning a surprise party! I thought Jason definitely deserved one...especially after all the crud he's put up with from me the past 7 months. =) We had an awesome turn out and had such a blast!! Jason came home from work, in uniform, covered in spots of oil. So the first thing he did was take a shower. =) We had tons of fruit and this delicious dip I made (just that simple recipe - 1 package of cream cheese and 1 jar of marshmallow cream mixed together. I add a little bit of vanilla. It is heaven.) and chips & salsa. After singing "Happy Birthday" to him and eating the cake I made, some of us went out to go bowling for a round, and had tons of fun! I'd say it was a success!
(I didn't get pictures of him being surprised when he walked in and I wish I did!!)
It was a gorgeous day here in Rexburg! Sunny, dry, the grass is starting to show again...but still cold. We're gettin' there, but Spring is definitely on the way! (Finally!)
Jason got a new suit yesterday (Thanks Dave & Janelle!) for his birthday coming up on Tuesday, and wore it to church. Along with his new pink tie which looked mighty dashing, I have to say!! So I dressed to match, with a pink shirt. With the sun shining, we had to take a picture in front of our apartment.
Phew! First post of our family's blog. I've seen so many other friends with these, especially ones that are having babies as well, so I thought, it's time to join in the fun! This will be a great way to show off little Kristie when she arrives in less than three months. I will be 30 weeks along on Monday, so just about 10 weeks away! We are SO ecstatic to have her join our family. At the last appointment a couple days ago, everything was right on schedule and looking perfect. I'm so grateful that everything's ok and that Kristie's growing into a beautiful little baby. She's been kicking and moving around a lot, which is amazing to feel! It makes me think "Holy cow, there really is a baby growing in there!" We have been taking a picture every month to track the progress of my growing tummy, which is pretty neat to see. I look back at some of the earlier pictures and laugh...I used to think I was very obviously showing and was frustrated when people didn't notice. Well no wonder! And when I look at this month's, it surprises me...I didn't think I changed much from the last, but the picture proved me wrong. Enjoy!
